Cat Hiding From Great Dane At The Vet Office Delights Internet: 'Not A Fan'

A terrified cat's reaction after seeing a Great Dane nearby has delighted the internet, and there's no denying how much she dislikes the giant dog.

North Oakville Animal Hospital posted the hilarious clip on TikTok (@northoakvilleah) showing their "clinic cat," named Puddle, hiding in the sink as the enormous Great Dane wandered past. The caption layered over the TikTok video jokes that Puddle "does not appreciate the fact that one of our doctors decided to bring her horse in to work."

While hiding away in the sink to escape the Great Dane, Puddle peaks her head over the top to keep an eye on her arch nemesis. However, as the dog walks past, it doesn't even acknowledge the tiny cat.

The video has delighted internet users since it was shared, generating more than 12.1 million views and over 2.7 million likes on TikTok in just a matter of days.

Reaching a height of up to 32 inches at the shoulder, it's no surprise that Great Danes can seem petrifying—especially to a small cat that's only a fraction of their size. While a male Dane can weigh up to 175 pounds, don't be fooled by their impressive stature because they're also incredibly patient and lovable.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) highlights how affectionate these pups are with family, good with other dogs, and even great with children too. They make excellent guardians given how alert and powerful they undoubtedly are, but they're also happy to unwind. Who knows, they might even try to curl up on your lap—after all, they hardly realize just how large they actually are.

How Did TikTok React?

Puddle is no stranger to the social media attention, as the veterinary hospital regularly posts videos showing her antics on TikTok.

Responding to a comment on their viral TikTok video, the hospital explained that she was rescued as a kitten and "lives at the clinic 24/7." During the day, she has "free roam" of the clinic, but at night she sleeps in her own room that's complete with a bed and plenty of toys.

She's certainly got a happy life at the North Oakville Animal Hospital—that is, until she has to see the Great Dane again, who she is undoubtedly "not a fan" of.

Many social media users have lauded Puddle's dubious attempt to hide, leading to more than 3,200 comments on the viral post already.

One comment reads: "Stealth mode activated."

Another TikToker wrote: "She's already writing a strongly worded email to everyone involved."

"Positioned in the safety sink," joked another person.

While another TikTok user responded: "He's like I'm just gonna watch from a distance."
