A viral video of an owner explaining how her dog gets exercise has quickly gained over 18.3 million views, leaving viewers in stitches.

TikTok user @katelivingoutloud has a high-energy Belgian malinois named Mason. These dogs are a herding breed that requires owners to give them hours of mental and physical stimulation. The Spruce Pets reported that this dog breed needs more exercise than your average dog, otherwise, they could develop behavior problems or anxiety. The article suggests at least one to two hours of exercise per day. A couple of easy walks might not be enough for them.

Luckily, this owner and Mason found a unique way to get him the daily exercise he needs to stay healthy. All it took was a robot vacuum and the fact that Mason "appointed himself manager" of the cleaning crew in his owner's house. By supervising the team, he gets in his extra steps and then some.

An August 23 TikTok video shows Mason clocking in for his shift and waiting by the vacuum. He circled it as soon as it came off the charger and kept going around to ensure the job was done properly.

The caption calls the robot vacuum the "best interactive dog toy" the owner has ever bought.

And being the good manager he is, Mason will also follow the owner around while she cleans. However, he shows more interest in the vacuum job.

While he stays vigilant on top of his employees, Mason has earned a reputation for being a manager who hates slackers. There are no breaks while Mason is in charge. He'll find his owner if the vacuum pauses, asking her to fix it so it can keep doing its job.

The video amassed over 3 million likes and 5,159 comments as of Tuesday. TikTok users were impressed with the dog's attention to detail and how he took his manager position seriously.

"See how he doesn't bark. Very cutesy. very demure," commented a viewer, while a second person wrote: "It's nice to see a manager so passionate about his job."

Another added: "Micro management is so underrated. I mean if he doesn't heard it, how else will it get done? Definitely needs a bonus and some stock options."
