Woman Films Moment Boyfriend Saves Stray Dog From Drowning

An incredible rescue video shows a man putting himself on the line to save a stray dog who had fallen into a nearby canal and couldn't get out.

The video, shared on TikTok on Wednesday, by his girlfriend, under the username @nathaliamarl, shows the man leaning on the ground, desperately trying to grab the pup by his paws. Meanwhile, two stray dogs can be seen standing by the man through the entire clip, looking at their friend and hoping for a miracle.

"My boyfriend without hesitation stopped to help a puppy that could not get out of the water, we noticed because other dogs were trying to help him..." reads a caption shared with the clip.

Within a few minutes, the poster's boyfriend was able to get a hold of the dog and lift him to safety. Then, without a scratch on his body, the pup and his friends went back to playing as if nothing had happened.

"You know? Dirty laundry can be washed and helping a puppy that has no one that cares about him, giving him a chance to live feels very nice. I wish everyone would give themselves the opportunity to experience these actions that fill your heart," the caption continues.

"I know that if it were up to him, he would take all the dogs home, but whenever he sees one on the street he gives him affection, cuddles and if he can food. I love seeing him like that."

While some dogs are natural swimmers, not all are born with this advantage. In most cases, a pup's ability to swim depends on several variables, including its breed, physical attributes, and individual comfort level with water.

Dog wellness experts Dogster say that, while some breeds, such as Labrador retrievers or Nova Scotia duck tolling retrievers, are great swimmers because they were developed for jobs in and around water, there are some that struggle to swim because of their characteristics.

"These are often breeds that have specific physical attributes, like short-legged or long-bodied dogs," the Dogster website says.

Whether your canine is able to swim or not, it is always best to be considerate and bring a life vest for your pup with you when getting into the water, this can help keep them visible and afloat.

Amo verlo ser asi 😍✨ @Mau Franco Love you 🙌🏻 #perritoscallejeros #ayudaalprojimo #ayudaaperritosdelacalle #rescatedeperritos

Bren garduño wrote: "I think there was something more there, because the other dogs and the same one they took out went back [to the spot he was saved from] again, and how nice of your partner's, those are worth it."

Melaniecarrasco56 added: "What a beautiful gesture, but I'm going to admit that at first I thought that the puppy was taking care of his drunken owner. But you won the lottery with that man."
