Woman Bakes Graham Cracker Pie Crust, But Her Cat Has Other Ideas

A tuxedo cat from St. Louis, Missouri, has left internet viewers in stitches after his owner found him sitting in the most-inconvenience place.

The hilarious viral clip, shared on TikTok on Thursday, under the username @sydfelz, shows the cat comfortably sitting on his owner's freshly baked pie crust that she had laid on the counter to rest. As soon as his owner tells him off, he immediately runs away, scattering pie crumble all over the place, and showing absolutely no remorse for ruining his owner's dessert.

"How I felt after she decided to take a nap in my freshly baked graham cracker crust," reads a caption shared with the viral video.

Thankfully, the cat in the video saw the pie as a comfortable bed and not as a delicious dinner. Catster experts say that, while sugar is not poisonous for cats, it is also not exactly healthy and should always be avoided.

Sugar in cats, like in humans, can cause diseases such as diabetes and obesity when ingested in large quantities, which can be life-threatening for a feline.

Moreover, cats don't even appreciate sugar or any sweet foods. In fact, cat's tongues work differently than ours, and they don't have the ability to taste anything sweet.

Sugar is also not necessary for a cat's diet from a nutritional standpoint; in fact, as strict carnivores, they don't benefit from simple carbohydrates, such as sugar, and would much rather eat a protein snack than a sugary one.
