Hysterics at Golden Retriever's Reaction to Meeting Newborn: 'Return It'

A couple caught on camera their golden retriever's reaction to meeting his little sibling for the first time, and social media viewers reacted strongly to the clip.

The viral video, shared on TikTok in July under the username @moostheberner, shows the pup looking scared as he glances at the stroller with a screaming little baby inside, then walking back as he tries to understand why his owners needed a new baby.

"When they gave you something you didn't ask for at all. Please return it," says the layover text displayed on the video.

A caption shared with the post reads: "Realistic pov of a dog meeting a baby for the first time."

Some dogs are more suitable for being around children than others. With larger breeds, Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, boxers and Bernese mountain dogs are among the best choices, say dog wellness experts at the website Rover.

If you're looking for a medium-sized dog, some of the best options include an English bulldog, a Samoyed and poodles.

Finally, if a small dog is what you're looking for, breeds like the Cavalier King Charles spaniel, beagle, French bulldog, dachshund and bichon frise are among your best choices.
