Laughter at Dog's Reaction to Owner Petsitting a Puppy: 'What the Hell'

A golden retriever has left the internet in stitches after his owner shared his reaction to her babysitting a puppy without his consent.

The hilarious video, shared on TikTok on Monday under the username @edenharpr, shows the poster cuddling with the puppy on the couch, as her pooch stands seemingly angry at the other end of the room, looking at them with contempt.

"I babysat a puppy and my dog was quite upset with the decision," reads the layover text displayed on the clip, and a caption shared with the post says: "Not mad just disappointed."

Dogs can indeed get jealous, however, they may not experience jealousy the same way humans do. Rover states that anything that impacts their daily routine can make a dog jealous, including a new dog or even a baby.

But how do you know when your dog is feeling jealous? Dog wellness experts at Rover state that there are some very clear signs.

One of these is blocking. "Your dog might try to physically come between you and someone or something they perceive as a threat," the website states.

The dog may also become more aggressive—growling, barking, lunging, snarling, or biting at whatever they are feeling jealous of. They can also be extra clingy or seek your attention with destructive behaviors.

Moreover, changes in body language can also indicate that your dog is experiencing feelings of jealousy. These include a stiff posture, lowered tail, or flattened ears.
