Owner Sneezes—Cat Tells Her To 'Shut Up' in Hilarious Video

A cat owner has left the internet in stitches after sharing a video of her orange cat telling her to "shut up" after sneezing in front of him.

The hilarious video, shared on Reddit on Wednesday, under the username Itz_K0ng, shows the feline napping on top of his owner, then being brutally woken by a loud sneeze, which he doesn't really seem to appreciate.

After the sneeze, the cat starts chattering something at his owner, which she translates to the best of her knowledge as, "Bless you, and shut up."

According to National Geographic, cats usually rely on visual and vocal signals to communicate with us, but they also need to vocalize in order to get our attention. That's why cats usually meow at people only, not at each other.

"Many cats and their human companions seem to develop a pidgin language in order to communicate better. We don't know whether there are similarities in the languages or whether they're specific to a cat/human pair," the outlet says.

But while we might not understand much of what those meows mean, do our felines understand us when we talk to them? According to Catster website, they do to a certain extent.

While cats often refuse to answer to their owners, they most likely know that you're calling their name, and they can also pick their voices out of a mix of random sounds, although they may not care to answer.
