Cat So Proud of Herself After Destroying Mom's Plant: 'Saved You'

A cat owner has left social media viewers laughing after revealing in a viral clip that not only did her feline destroy her houseplant but she was proud of what she did.

The hilarious video, shared on TikTok this past Friday under the username @julietsunflower, shows the poster's monstera houseplant on the floor, with its vase shattered and dirt everywhere.

Meanwhile, the white cat can be seen lying down on the plant leaves on the floor, proud of what she'd done and looking up at her owner with no remorse whatsoever.

"Rip monstera... she eliminated the threat," says the video's caption.

Houseplants are never safe when cats are around, but sometimes cats can be unsafe around plants. The website Cats Protection says that common houseplants that are innocuous to us can be poisonous to our furry friends.

Some varieties of houseplants, including ficus, cheese plants and aloe vera, are not cat-friendly and should not be kept at home. Other plants that should be avoided are mistletoe and poinsettia. Moreover, cycads are lethal and should not be kept inside or outdoors if you have cats.

On the other hand, plants that can be safely kept around your feline friend include orchids, zebra plants, coconut palm and sedum, says Cats Protection.
