German Shepherds Having Heated Argument Have Internet in Stitches

A pair of German shepherds were caught on camera having a heating argument in front of their little pup, and now the video has gone viral on social media.

In the viral clip, shared on TikTok earlier in September, under the username @big.shepherds, the two dogs can be seen barking at each other from across the room and neither of them seemed to want to back off.

Between them was their little pup, lying in a crate next to his mom, trying to nap as the two bigger dogs engage in a back and forth, both refusing to let it go.

Fights between dogs can escalate quickly, that's why if you have multiple dogs it's important to be able to recognize a fight and know how to stop it.

The American Kennel Club (AKC), explains that dogs often play in ways that may look aggressive, like body slams and throat bites, often with growling. To tell the difference between play and a fight, watch their body language.

Playful dogs appear relaxed, with loose, floppy movements and open mouths. They may start with a "play bow" where their front end lowers while the rear stays up, signaling everything is in fun.

They also take turns chasing and play biting, using big, exaggerated movements. In contrast, fighting dogs are tense, stiff, and move quickly without the playful back-and-forth. Understanding these signs helps distinguish rough play from real aggression.

To recognize if your dog is stressed, watch for these signals: vocalizing (growling, whining, or barking), tucking the tail, ears flattened back, showing the whites of their eyes ("whale eye"), lip licking, panting, yawning, excessive sniffing, and pacing. These behaviors indicate discomfort or anxiety in dogs.

The video quickly went viral and has so far received over 5.7 million views and 795,000 likes on TikTok.

One user, Elis Rom, commented: "She found his text [messages] with the b**** next door."

Christine Ay said: "Guys.. not in front of the baby!"

Lo Henderson added: "Does make me wonder what they arguing over lol."
