A farm owner from Virginia tested the loyalty of her geese in a heart-warming video that has gone viral on social media, and they did not disappoint.

The viral clip, shared on TikTok on Monday under the username @thedogmoms, shows the poster, Toni Enright, pretending to faint in front of her geese to see what they would do and she could not have expected their reaction.

"Pretended to faint to see how my geese would react. They did not disappoint," says layover text displayed on the clip.

As she fell, the geese immediately went to her rescue, determined to help her in any possible way, despite one tripping over a watermelon.

"Safe to say if anything actually happened to me Fluffy is definitely coming to my rescue no matter how many watermelon try to stop her," the caption says.

Enright told Newsweek that she and her wife, Lydia, live on a farm with 24 acres and lots of other animals, including their 30 dogs.

Dogs are known for loving their humans more than anything else, but how about birds? Do they love their owners too?

The website Learn Bird Watching explains that our feathers friends can indeed form strong bonds with their humans, most often built on trust, mutual respect and consistent social interaction.

"Whether it's through companionship, shared activities, or affectionate gestures, birds can bring joy and companionship into the lives of their human counterparts," the website says.

The bird-human bond can manifest in different ways, including increased trust, affection, and communication. Studies show that birds seek their human's companionship and may even shows signs of distress when separated.

The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 5.7 million views and 731,000 likes on TikTok.

One user, VoiidWalker, commented: "Can we get a remake of the doubtfire sound with the tripping duck?"

Beth Davies said: "Please hug the one that tripped I can't cope."

Abrizz81 wrote: "You can tell who is the favorite, poor thing almost took himself out on the watermelon to save you."

Thora_1810 added: "I can't believe what I'm seeing. Animals are clearly better people. The video also shows the deep bond between humans and geese."
