Woman Fosters Dog—He Does a 'Trauma Dump' at Her for the Hour Car Ride Home

A rescue dog who finally felt comfortable enough to open up couldn't stop yapping and spilling the tea about his life.

About three weeks ago, TikTok user @rachelsample welcomed home a Belgian Malinois as her foster dog. As a puppy, he was dumped off at animal control where he ripped out all his teeth.

"He was so anxious and biting and barking in the crate at animal control," Rachel told Newsweek via TikTok.

Those hurtful and scary memories traumatized him. Knowing his history, Rachel still decided to foster him and give him a break from shelter life, but the barking continued, even after she took him out of the animal shelter.

The Belgian Malinois immediately started barking when she picked him up to bring him home, although Rachel referred to it as his "trauma dump" in the September 15 TikTok video posted to her account. The clip shows him in the front seat yapping away, with his body facing in her direction. The dog wanted her to hear loud and clear as he spilled the tea on his life.

His anxiety and nervousness didn't stop at the sight of Rachel. In his eyes, she was a stranger triggering his barking. She said he barked in her ear for the entire hour-and-a-half car ride home.

Luckily, his trauma dump isn't constantly happening. He got off his chest in that initial car ride. She said he has been improving daily since she rescued him a few weeks ago, but as a dog trainer, she has been patient and willing to work with him.

The last step for him to heal from his trauma is for his forever family to step forward and adopt him through Indiana's Far Fetched Dog Rescue.

Viewers couldn't get over how much this dog had to say. With over 5.2 million views and almost 750,000 likes on TikTok, people were itching to get more tea while praising Rachel for taking on a talkative dog breed.

"He telling on everybody, 'Ur [you are] my new Mom, don't do that to me,'" commented a viewer, while another posted: "He was like, 'And you should hear this too' at the camera."

A third person wrote: "Get him a pup cup after. He's gonna need a sweet treat after all that."
