Watch Indoor Cat's Reaction After Accidentally Escaping: 'Take Me Back'

An indoor cat that accidentally got outside without supervision was found, but not without a lot to say about what he went through.

TikTok user @reivenl's cat is no stranger to the outdoors. He is a leash-trained cat and never goes outside alone. He's always supervised. But being the trickster that cats can be, he escaped without his leash and harness. Thankfully, his owner found him not too far from home.

In the September 25 TikTok video, the owner films her Maine coon cat slowly walking back to her with a look of concern. He did a double take to ensure it was his owner and as he got closer, he started meowing. The meows never stopped. He needed to spill the tea about what he witnessed. It must've been nothing like he ever saw on the leash before.

The caption reads: "He is leash trained, never been on an adventure alone so he had a lot to tell us. Glad we found him, I was panicking, he didn't go far thankfully."

Normally, her cat is fine being outside on the leash, but by himself is a different story. Asked why she thinks her cat might've changed his mind about the outside, his owner theorized it might have been because no one was there to reassure and protect him.

"Maybe he saw something scary. I don't really know," she told Newsweek via TikTok. "There are many foxes around this area. Maybe he saw one."

The owner wrote in the comments section that she was certain the cat saw a fox or something because what else would have made him look that "shook." But then again, maybe he was just hungry, she thought.

The TikTok video reached over 217,700 views and 34,800 likes as of Tuesday.

As one person mentioned, this cat "had many things to say," and viewers flooded the comments section with possibilities for what was running through the cat's mind.

"Cat: 'Where were you? Where were you? Where were you?'" a viewer commented.

Another wrote from the cat's perspective: "Take me back! Save me from this wilderness! I will never leave your side again!"

A third person jokingly added: "So, it turns out it SUCKS out here! No one has snacks and I couldn't find a litter tray, so now I'm constipated."
