Woman Checks on Husband Walking Dog, Unprepared for Where She Finds Them

A man's attempt to sneak a nap with his dog has been caught on camera, leaving the internet in stitches.

Debra Curtis, who runs the TikTok account @englishharry, had grown suspicious when her partner had taken their English bulldog Harry out for a walk.

Upon further investigation, she stumbled on a heartwarming scene as the pair were together in the front of the car, snoozing.

Blissfully unaware they were being filmed, the footage was posted on TikTok where it has been viewed more than 300,000 times. In the video, Harry and his human companion are taking a rest together—a far cry from the walk proposed.

Comments flooded in as people reacted to the scene. User Dayronwhite came to the defense of the napping pair and joked: "They did walk to the car so that counts."

Alicia Marie couldn't contain her delight and commented: "Look at Harry's little sleep face!!!! omg I can't take it."

Ayden playfully said: "It was Harry's idea to take a nap I bet! They're bonding."

The nap is no surprise from Harry's side. In fact, dogs spend a significant portion of their day asleep, often adjusting their sleep patterns to match their mood or level of activity.

Older dogs and larger breeds, like bulldogs, are known to require more sleep to keep up with energetic bursts.

While plenty of dogs enjoy nap-times and cuddles, it is important to ensure your pup also gets plenty of exercise. Dogs should be taken out for a walk at least once a day.

It is important to tailor exercise to your dog, too. Smaller dogs should have shorter walks: "A small dog may get more tired quickly on a long walk as they are having to keep up with the owner and run faster," Dr. Grant Little, veterinarian expert for the question-and-answer platform JustAnswer, told Newsweek.

Larger breeds like Labradors or Australian shepherds, on the other hand, should have a walk closer to 30-60 minutes to keep them fit and healthy.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) officially recognized the bulldog as a breed in 1886 and today it is the 7th most popular dog breed in the U.S.

Fellow lovers of the breed shared their reactions to Harry's naptime, suggesting it wasn't surprising for a bulldog.

Viewer John quipped: "To be fair that is how u walk a bulldog lol." While another TikToker joked: "That is an official English bulldog walk."
