Watch as Great Dane Reacts to Report Card From Doggy Day Care: 'Read On'
Pet owners, like parents, want to ensure their fur babies are well behaved whenever someone else watches over them. That's why pet establishments such as doggy day cares or grooming salons will give owners report cards.
One Great Dane couldn't get enough of hearing his report card from his doggy boarding facility, as seen in a September 23 TikTok video posted by @summerdoingthings. The owner told Newsweek that Maddox receives a report card every time he goes to the day care. However, this was the first time the facility decided to record his reaction while reading the report to him.
In the clip, Maddox stood directly in front of his dad, intensely listening and unafraid of the results because he knew he was a good boy. He stuck around to hear it again to make sure his owners knew how well he did while being boarded.
The report said Maddox felt right at home. He likes to scarf down his food, which isn't unknown to these owners. The day care also noted that Maddox tends to be the "wild child" there but plays well with others. When Maddox heard that, he stepped closer to ensure his owner processed it correctly.
Wanting proper recognition for his good behavior, he went in for some pets from his dad. And then he tried sneaking in a little nibble from his dad's food bowl. He wasn't successful, but it was worth the try. Plus, the owners were too busy acknowledging his report card to notice.
The end of the report card read: "Maddox did great as always. He enjoyed splashing around at the water park with his friends. Can't wait to see him back soon!" To which Maddox let out a big cry. Agreeing, Maddox couldn't wait to go back to play and see his friends, especially Betty. Some people suspect they might be a couple.
The owner wrote in the comments section that being a good boy while at doggy day care becomes tiring. Maddox is usually "tuckered out" when he comes home.
TikTok users were struck by Maddox's reaction to his report card. The clip has over 527,900 views, 64,900 likes and 957 comments as of Monday.
"He said, 'Read on..'" one viewer commented.
Another said: "Sounds like he's the best boy at daycare!"
A third person wrote: "He looked away when you mentioned Betty, 'Let's not talk about Betty pls.'"
