Man Tries To Get Golden Retriever in Car, but He's Not Ready To Go Home Yet

All dogs love spending time outdoors, running and playing fetch with their owners, but some love it so much that they refuse to go back home after playtime is over.

A golden retriever from Ohio has left the internet in stitches after his owner caught him on camera acting out as he tried to get him back home from his walk.

In a hilarious clip shared on TikTok in May, under the username krissytina570, the pup can be seen getting off his leash and lying flat on the floor with his belly up as his owner lets the other dog back inside the pickup truck.

Despite his owner's multiple tries to encourage him to get up and leave, the pup did not give in, and his owner had to forcibly pick him up and place him inside the vehicle.

Dogs could stay out and play for the entire day, but their humans may not have the same flexibility. However, pet parents should make sure their pooches are provided enough exercise daily to keep them healthy. Newsweek previously reported on how much exercise dogs need every day. It mostly depends on their size, age and breed.

For small-sized dogs, those under 15 pounds, 20 minutes of exercise at a time is considered enough, while for larger breeds, veterinarians suggest a 30 to 60-minute walk. More athletic breeds, like Labrador retrievers and Australian shepherds, can often go for long one-hour walks and feel little to no pain.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 8.6 million views and 381,100 likes on the platform.
