Watch as Rescue Horse Unleashes Full Speed at the Beach: 'Freedom'

A video of a horse enjoying a freedom run on the beach quickly melted hearts, bringing in over 229 million views within a week.

Marta Gonzalez, CEO and founder of the travel agency Essaouira Dreamers, rescued Capo about four months ago after receiving a heartbreaking call that a horse she connected with was gone. She originally met Capo three years ago at a stable where she used to ride in Essaouira, Morocco.

Gonzalez told Newsweek via email that Capo was a "hard and difficult horse" who spent most of the time in the stable. However, that didn't sway her from giving him a chance. She felt a connection to him. He reciprocated the feelings as he wouldn't let anyone else ride him.

"I used to ride him because I was riding often in this stable, but not other clients due to his hard character," he said. "...I'm not that experienced with horses; I just had loved him from the first time I rode him, even if it was not easy."

When she learned Capo was sold by his owners at a souk, or marketplace, she immediately started searching for him. She discovered Capo working in a traditional Moroccan equestrian show and celebration called Fantasia. They made him work despite being injured, she said.

She spent several days negotiating with his new owners about getting Capo back. She said it wasn't easy, but they eventually agreed. She bought him and brought him back to her stable, where he received about three months of treatment for his injury.

"I don't know if his character changed or just he was in the wrong place, but since he is with us, he never ever tried to hurt other horses and he is really gentle with me," Gonzalez said.

Four months later, Capo is finally living the life he deserves—running freely on the beach as the wind blows through his mane.

His "freedom" run in the November 5 TikTok video posted to the account @essaouirahorseparadise quickly touched people's hearts. With over 229 million views, the video is quickly becoming as one of the most-watched TikTok clips.

Viewers couldn't get enough of Capo's full-on sprint on the beach, stating they had never realized the beauty of a horse running free.

"The freedom of this run," said one viewer, while another commented: "That's a gallop with emphasis."

"Whenever I see a horse running wild and free it always makes me so emotional," a third TikTok user commented.

Since being rescued, Gonzalez is still the only person who rides Capo. However, she said two guides with Essaouira Dreamers are working with Capo and training him. Even if she's the only one who connects with Capo, she finds peace knowing he's safe. Her dream horse finally became a reality.
