What Parents Are Willing To Do for Daughter's Dog Melts Heartsâ'Green Flag'
A video about a dog "obsessed" with her human grandparents and excited for a sleepover with them has captivated viewers on TikTok.
The clip was shared by @brycejr18 and has amassed over 520,000 views since it was shared on November 15. A note overlaid on the clip says: "My parents' green flag is how much they love our dog. They drove 3 hours to pick her up for a sleepover."
The footage shows the canine—who is a Bernese mountain dog, according to a hashtag shared with the post—in the back of car as it drives up to the grandparents who are waiting outside by their pickup truck.

The pup is later seen greeting the couple, jumping around in excitement between the two. She is later seen inside the grandparents' car while waving her paw at the camera. A caption shared with the post reads: "Lucky. She really said 'Get out of here mum'."
The special bond between the pup and her grandparents comes as no surprise because "dogs take on a particular significance" for senior people, noted a study in the International Journal of Community Well-Being.
"Beyond the many positive physical, emotional, and social benefits dogs provide older adults, is the relationship that exists between senior people and their dogs. Seniors, who have deep attachment to their dogs, think of their dogs as cherished family members rather than as animals with benefits," the study said.
