Watch Face of Bernese Mountain Puppy When She Experiences a Sneeze: 'Valid'

In a viral TikTok video, a dog owner from the United Kingdom shared her puppy's reaction to her sneezing, and internet users can't stop laughing at how cute it is.

The clip shared on Monday by @bernese_sansa shows the Bernese mountain dog chilling on the floor in the living room when her mom suddenly sneezes out of nowhere.

After a brief side eye, the puppy, Sansa, backs off in shock, probably wondering what the strange sound means.

The poster, 26-year-old Annie from Worcestershire, told Newsweek that Sansa, who was only around three months old when the clip was filmed and just turned 1 in October, is a curious puppy with the funniest, most expressive personality.

"The video was the first time she had heard a sneeze, which caught her very off guard—definitely breaking character from the usual laid-back Bernese personality!" she said.

The video quickly went viral on social media, and it has received over 707,600 views and 171,400 likes on the platform so far.

One user, Abbie, commented: "My dog hatesssss sneezes she'll get in anyone's face who does or if we're in public and someone sneezes she'll stop walking and glare at them."

"That's the face I make when the sneezer didn't cover their mouth," FashionublyL8 wrote, to which the poster replied, "So valid."

TikTok user Saladcoded commented: "When my dog was a puppy and sneezed for the first time, she scared herself so badly she started whimpering."

Sansa may have never experienced it, but dogs can sneeze, too. While doing it occasionally can be completely normal, it becomes a cause for concern when they do it repeatedly.

A Dogster article, medically reviewed by Dr. Amanda Charles, says that our pups can sneeze for many reasons. Occasional sneezing usually happens when something irritates the dog. This could be dust, dirt, perfumes or even fresheners.

If your pup looks agitated while sneezing, you should contact your veterinarian, as it could indicate that something is stuck up their nose and they're fighting to expel it.

Allergies, infections, nasal mites, and growths inside the nose, like tumors, can also cause your dog to sneeze, although these conditions are often accompanied by other symptoms, like bleeding in the case of a tumor.

Sometimes, pups also sneeze to let others know they are having fun. In this case, the pup usually looks happy and playful.
