Pet Cam Reveals What Boyfriend Does With Cat When Girlfriend out of Town
A viral video of the moment a man arrived home to greet the cat, knowing his girlfriend was away for the night, has melted hearts.
The short clip, posted by Ashley or @perfectlypasteyy, features footage from a pet cam of her boyfriend arriving home to greet Pancake the cat.
"Out of town for work and my boyfriend is home alone with the cat," Ashley said in the text overlay.
As the man walked in, he exclaimed: "Pancake! What's up, dude? Guess what? Mom's not here. You know what that means? It's just me and you, dude! It's me and you, dude."
Pancake, responding to the warm greeting, immediately flopped onto his back and shows his belly—a universal sign of trust and comfort among cats.
As the man stroked Pancake affectionately, they got themselves set up for what viewers on TikTok dubbed their "bro time" evening.
The adorable moment between man and cat has delighted the internet, where it has been viewed over 1.4 million times.
Many viewers are enamored with Pancake's sweet demeanor and the man's love for him. One commenter, Jessi, wrote: "The way Pancake instantly lays down and shows his belly. He trusts that man!"
Justbeans69 added: "I love it when people treat cats like small people."
Others were quick to commend the boyfriend's character.
"Pancake's demeanor tells me this is a pretty cool dude," wrote Kate, while Stonedonewiththis quipped: "The video may not have color but I'm seeing green flags everywhere."
Another viewer, emp4thyy2, summarized the clip and wrote: "Just a chill guy and his chill cat having bro time."
This isn't the first time a pet cam has captured a stand-out cat moment. Earlier this year a woman checked her pet cam while a maintenance man was working in her apartment, only to see her cat, Earl, engaged in a "full conversation"with the man.
Pet cam interactions go both ways, too. In another clip, a cat was captured when she heard her owner's voice.
Emilia was using her pet cam when she tested out talking to her cat. As soon as she heard her owner's voice, the cat moved closer to the camera, trying to figure out where it was coming from.
