Where Kitten Is Found Sleeping by Rescuer Delights: 'Can't Even Blame Him'
A foster kitten named Milo has charmed viewers on TikTok after he was found sleeping in the most adorable spot—a bag of soft toys hanging off a door.
The video, shared by Laura Carroll on December 12 under the handle @lauravictor244, has garnered over 3 million views to date, capturing the hearts of many. The clip not only showcases Milo's cozy slumber, but also tells a story of how the rescue is settling into his new home after being adopted by his fosterer.
Carroll, 40, from Salisbury, Maryland, had taken in Milo after he was found alone on a friend's porch on a cold and windy night. Initially intending to foster him for just one night, Carroll soon found herself unable to part with the kitten.
"I am the biggest animal lover, especially when it comes to cats," Carroll told Newsweek. "Milo started out as a foster, but quickly stole our hearts, so we are now his forever home."
She went on to explain how Milo ended up with her, describing the initial rescue effort spurred by a friend's plea for help.
"My friend found Milo on her porch all alone in the freezing cold on an extremely windy night," Carroll said. "Being unable to take him in because of her other animals, I decided to rescue him.
"Milo was in my daughter's room while I was fostering him, and every time I would open the door, I noticed he would come from behind it, it took me a few days to figure out why."
Viewers online were able to see the delightful moment when Carroll discovered Milo's chosen sleeping spot.
"My daughter has a hanging net of stuffed animal toys that hangs on the back of her door," she said. "Milo climbs into the lowest net, and that is where he sleeps.
"In the video, you can see me entering the room, and he is just waking up from his slumber."
"UPDATE: Milo has officially joined our family," the caption reads.
"Milo is the sweetest kitten and will purr as soon as he sees you," Carroll said. "He has found his place in our hearts and our home.
"Seeing him so content and happy makes all the difference.
Viewers online have shared their delight at the candid moment in the comments section.
"Can't even blame him that look so comfy," one viewer said.
Another added: "Adorable! god bless you for helping out but I think he loves and wants to stay with you."
"They probably think that's where all the cute things sleep so I'll sleep there," another said.
