Going to the dog park is a great opportunity for pups to socialize, but one French bulldog has been dubbed the "neighborhood bully" after showing that she isn't to be messed with.

While Claire Marie from Virginia always knew that her dog, Sweeney, was full of personality, it was only when they started going to the dog park that she realized how fiery the little bulldog could be.

Sweeney loves going up to other dogs (of any size) and making friends with them. But if they don't acknowledge or play with Sweeney, then her "feisty and competitive side" will shine through, Marie told Newsweek. Sweeney isn't afraid to show her frustration, and she often gives the other dogs a "playful nudge and slap."

"She's just trying to play with the dogs, but when she's playing with dogs bigger than her, she usually does it as a sneak attack," Marie said.

"I believe there are a few reasons why she uses her paws, including for attention. If a dog isn't playing with her, a gentle nudge seems to do the trick. The second reason is that when she's in play mode, she thinks she's a big dog and she uses her paws to stay in the game."

After seeing Sweeney's sweet face and tiny stature, it might be hard to believe that she could get into a scrap with anyone, but don't underestimate this pup.

Fortunately for Sweeney, the other dogs know she's just being playful. The owners also love seeing her displays of cheekiness, referring to her as the "free entertainment" at the dog park.

French bulldogs are highly playful dogs that are generally very good with other people and dogs, according to the American Kennel Club. While they will usually be very friendly around other dogs, they are also notoriously stubborn. When they want something done their way, they will undoubtedly stand their ground, as Sweeney often does.

Marie said: "We go to the same dog park every week with the same dogs, so she has a daily meetup with all her friends. Everyone knows and adores Sweeney, even with all her sass."

To show people how fierce Sweeney can be, Marie shared a hilarious video on TikTok (@sweeneythefrenchie) revealing the hilarious moment when Sweeney approached another dog and smacked it with her paw. Social media users can't get enough of Sweeney's pure sass: The clip has already generated more than 633,300 views and 74,800 views since it was posted.

Marie has been blown away by the positive reaction to her TikTok video, as people just love seeing her tiny pup "throwing paws" against dogs of any size.

"People love Sweeney, and they find her relatable. She's become a fan favorite, and everyone has a laugh when they come to her page," Marie said. "She's a firecracker who is full of personality and is always doing something unique or entertaining."

The French bulldog's antics have left social media users in hysterics since the video was shared, leading to hundreds of comments. One TikTok user joked: "He needs his own reality TV show."

Another person said: "Why are our Frenchies like this?"

Another user: "Sweeney is NOT the problem, but will handle the problem."
