Viral Vid Shows Cat Has Absolutely No Idea How To Use Automatic Litter Tray
Automatic litter trays are meant to spin around, filtering out the used bits, but one cat with no idea how it operates decided to use his in a new way.
With over 13.7 million views on TikTok, a June 28 clip posted by user @iamnarbear shows an owner's cat comfortably enjoying his time in the litter box instead of taking care of his business.

He was fully submerged, lying on his side with his head peeking out. The cat didn't care if it wasn't using the object correctly. All he knew was that he found a new resting spot.
All was fine for the cat until the automatic litter box started spinning ever so slightly. Twisting him up, he jumped out and with him litter came flying. He created a giant mess for the owner to clean up.
As the emoji in the video text implies, the owner was likely shaking his ahead after discovering his cat in the strange situation and came to the conclusion that his pet has a mind of his own.
Embarrassed he got caught, the cat sprinted to the next litter box hoping he could rest again. However, when the own followed him, the cat went into hiding.

While many TikTokers are cracking up at this cat's unusual use of the litter box, it's important to recognize potential deeper meanings for this cat's actions.
Cats like to keep themselves clean and well-groomed, puzzling owners who spot their feline sleeping or playing in a litter box. Pet care site Purina reported that kittens will sometimes roll around in a litter box while learning the ropes and experimenting with the world around them. That shouldn't set off any alarm bells.
Owners should seek a vet's opinion when they find their pets spending a little too much time in the litter box as it could indicate their cats are experiencing fear or anxiety, urinary problems, constipation or diarrhea, as well as underlying illnesses, mobility issues or cognitive decline. Cats could also hang out in the litter box to mark their territory.

The randomness of the TikTok clip left viewers in stitches and quickly went viral, reaching over 1.2 million likes and 5,478 comments.
