Hysterics as Owner Discovers Cat Is 'Cheating' With Neighbor

A cat owner in Melbourne, Australia, has left social media viewers laughing at a video after revealing that he found his cat "cheating" with his neighbor.

In a hilarious post shared last Thursday on TikTok under the username in.u.it, the owner can be seen retrieving his cat, Chugs, from his neighbor's porch, where he was having a comfy nap on the couch just outside the door.

The caption reads: "When you find your cat sleeping on someone else's porch."

This is followed by: "Anyone else's cat cheat on them with a neighbour??? Sometimes my cats find their way into other people's houses lol."

Cats may not be the first animals that come to mind when you think of loyal pets, but it turns out they can be quite loyal to the people they love.

Unlike dogs or other animals, cats seem to see themselves as equals to us. That's why they will be loyal if we're loyal to them, the website Catster says.

Cats can show their loyalty in many ways, like picking up on your emotions and cheering you up when you're down or even just showing you affection.

"They know who fills the food bowl and gives the chin rubs—and that's where their loyalty lies," Catster says.

Moreover, cats don't show their loyalty in typical ways, so you will probably never catch your cat attacking other predators or humans to defend you. But that doesn't mean they're not loyal creatures.

The video quickly went viral and has so far received over 1.1 million views and 140,800 likes on TikTok.

It turns out that the poster's cat is not the only feline cheating on its owner.

DaisyOllie1 commented: "My cat went missing in 2017 and I thought she died but I recently got a call from the vet that she was living with another family."

Sabouna.Khadhra said: "My cat moved next door, changed names, and hasn't looked back ever since."

Stardust wrote: "My cat often comes home smelling of perfume that is definitely not mine."

Okie dokie said: "Mine was gone a week. We worried so much!!! He came back well fed and with his hair brushed. He's not loyal."

Newsweek reached out to in.u.it for comment via TikTok chat and could not verify the details of the case.
