Dog Hilariously Refuses to Speak to 'Traitors' Who Left Her Alone in Bed
A pup from Scotland has left the internet in stitches with her attitude after her owner left her alone in bed so she could go to work.
In a post shared on TikTok in May, under the username lilylana28, Lily, who is a crossbreed between a Lhasa Apso and a Maltese, also known as Lhatese, can be seen tucked into bed as her owner comes in to say goodbye.
The poster can be heard telling her: "See you soon okay?" as the pup stays still under the blankets, completely ignoring her words.
"Went to say goodbye to Lily, but she doesn't speak to traitors who leave her," a caption says, followed by: "She's not interested in anything I have to say this morning."
The poster, Emma, told Newsweek that the 11-year-old dog, who will be 12 in October, is the "most dramatic dog [she's] ever met."
She said: "We've had her since she was a puppy. [She is] so intelligent but uses it only for manipulation, she makes us laugh all the time. she is quite a nervous dog but at home where she's comfortable she has such a big personality."
In the clip, Lily is actually in her uncle Jamie's bed, in a mood because everyone is leaving for work, which means she's going to have to be by herself until they come back.
If you ever wondered whether your dog misses you when you're gone, the answer is yes! A study published in 2015 found that dogs miss their humans more than anything else.
In the study, dogs were put through an MRI and exposed to the scent of different people, including their owners. When they smell their owners, a part of their brain associated with positive feelings activated.
Since being posted to the video-sharing platform, the video has received over 58,600 views and 5,200 likes.
One user, Clarice Felicia, commented: "LMAO! I'd absolutely would love this dramatic of a pet."
LOVE TRAVEL said: "She wants you to know you're sleeping on the floor tonight! Beds hers!"
Milo.milolino wrote: "Mine turns his head and stares in the other direction and refuses to acknowledge my existence."
Liv added: "What a cute drama queen. It is like a marriage where you have done something wrong. The sofa is yours tonight."
