Woman's Horses Escape so She Catches Them With Only Thing She Has—Her Bra
A horse owner in New Mexico has shared how she found herself in situation that forced her to get creative in a hilarious way.
Taylor Anderson has owned horses for 28 years, and she currently has two horses and a mini donkey, but at the time of the incident she had several horses.
One day she got distracted and forgot to latch the gate to her horse enclosure: "No matter how much experience someone has, sometimes human error just happens," she told Newsweek. Ten minutes later, standing on her front porch, Anderson heard thundering hooves and saw her horses running toward her neighbor's property.
Without thinking, Anderson ran after them, inadvertently passing by the tack room where their leads were kept. Once she reached the horses, 10 acres later, she realized she had nothing to lead them back with.
In a moment of quick thinking, she decided to use her bra as a makeshift halter to lead the horses. Wearing jeans and a t-shirt, she was sure that she was far away enough from her neighbors that nobody would notice the quick removal.
"I immediately caught 'Money,' my 12-year-old off-track thoroughbred, because he is the ringleader of shenanigans. The other horses would follow him," she explained. With Money "booby trapped," she started to lead him back and the others followed.
Several years later, while scrolling through her phone, Anderson came across the video of the incident and decided to share it on TikTok, where it has since gained more than 7.8 million views.
"All new meaning to a halter top," joked commenter Laensa. While viewer shanoosie2 said: "Ma'am we're going to need you to share the brand. A bra that can lead a whole HORSE can surely hold my girls up."
While JC joked: "Horse never felt so supported... lol."
The response online left Anderson in stitches: "The reactions to my video made my day. I couldn't stop laughing at the creative things people were saying," she said.
One comment that particularly resonated with her was "improvise, adapt, overcome," to which she replied: "The motto of Marines and cowgirls."
"You've got to be tough as nails, think quickly on your feet and outside of the box, and get the job done," she explained.
