Dog Refusing To Move After Surprising Find During Walk Delights Internet

A golden retriever has melted hearts on social media after refusing to walk away from free food he casually found on his daily walk.

A video shared to TikTok on Saturday under the username ourgoldenalfie shows the pup, Alfie, refusing to move as his owner tries to drag the leash away.

The caption read: "Alfie found roast chicken on the grass in the city centre and his day was made... Until I told him no."

His owner tried to explain to him why he can't have it. She can be heard saying: "Who knows what's in it," and she even tried to bribe him with a tasty pup cup. But despite all her efforts, he still wouldn't take "no" for an answer.

Dogs are always hungry, and if you're a dog owner you know that if it was up to them, they would be eating all day. However, feeding them too much can be harmful to their health. So how much should they eat a day?

The experts at Pet MD say that the size of your dog matters when calculating how much you should feed them; smaller and toy breeds need much less food than bigger and more athletic canines.

Toy dogs that weigh up to 3lb need only about 139 calories during the day, while medium dogs up to 30lbs require about 781 calories. Bigger dogs, such as those weighing up to 100lbs, must have around 1,926 calories.

"Unless stated otherwise, these amounts give you the total that is recommended for your dog over a 24-hour period," the Pet MD website says.

Bonavenn said: "My corgi once discovered a donut hole in the grass and we had to stop there every day for the next three years to check for more."

Leanne added: "But muuuuuum there's a chicken right over there, it's this way, let me show you, it's over here."
