Lamb Raised by Dogs Proves She's One of the Family in Heartwarming Video
The unexpected friendship between a lamb and two dogs has delighted viewers online.
The trio all reside on a farm in Wales—one of the constituent countries of the United Kingdom. Despite their obvious differences, the lamb has grown accustomed to playing with the dogs on the grounds of the farm, under the watch of their shared owner. Their owner, Hannah Wadley, captured the group playing together on the farm within Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, and shared the short video to TikTok on April 15. It has since been viewed more than 3.4 million times.
The pet ownership advice site Caring for Pets writes that raising dogs with farm animals is perfectly safe. This is down to the fact that many dogs are kept as guard or herding dogs by farm owners.
The viral post's viewers could see the lamb, Hettie, attempting to join in on the fun two dogs, Honey and Susie, were having within the green grounds of the Welsh farm. Wadley, known online as @hanwadley, filmed the lamb eventually catching up with the two canines before the three animals ran together behind a building and out of shot.
Hettie was shown struggling to get involved with the game of chase that the dogs were playing at first, as the duo played mostly together and without her—despite her energetic jumps towards them. Still, her owner, Wadley, made clear that the lamb is very much a part of the family.
An overlaid text on the video read: "POV: [Point of view]: You're a lamb being raised with your besties (doggies) on a little farm."
Wadley had shared under the post that all three of the animals live together on the farm.
She had captioned the post: "A little throwback to when my Hettie was just a baby doing zoomies. She still has the loveliest bond with the doggies Honey and Susie."
The unlikely friendship has sparked an outpouring of emotion among viewers online, many of whom have gushed over the trio and their sweet bond in the comments.
"Every lamb deserves this life," one user, @hannahinlondon2, wrote. Their comment has been liked more than 10,000 times by other TikTok users.
Another, @melisgee, added: "Oh to be a little lamb on a farm."
"Love the little jump and kick she does, adorable," a third user, @coopiebear123, shared.
"I'm crying she is having the best time," another user, who goes by Mariah Bradley on TikTok, added.
Newsweek reached out to @hanwadley for more information via TikTok and email.
