Woman Comes Home After 12-Hour Shift, Dog Greets Her in Worst Way Possible

Pet parents want nothing more than to relax with their fur babies after a long day at work, but considering they missed their humans, pets tend to have a different idea.

Dani returned home from a 12-hour shift exhausted. Her English bulldog, Lavelle, happily welcomed her, but before she could put her bag down, he started making pre-puking sounds. It's a sound that haunts dog owners everywhere.

The home security camera captured Dani's hilarious reaction, which she shared in a May 16 TikTok video to the account @lavelle_maslow. Springing into action, or better yet, twirling into action, Dani had to come up with a solution fast.

"I found my second wind of energy when I realized I needed to quickly find something to catch my bulldog's puke and protect my rug," Dani told Newsweek. "Twirling seemed like the most efficient way to find something."

She spun around a few times in search of something, anything, that would help keep her carpet clean. She said nothing makes her move faster than the warning signs of vomiting. Dani has since named her spinning move the "hurl-n-twirl."

Her solution meant grabbing a blanket and placing it right where Lavelle was about to let it go. She laid it out, making sure it covered wherever the throw-up would have landed. Mission accomplished, although Dani still looked away with disgust.

"Some people would have pulled their dog off of the rug, but I didn't want to lug almost 70 pounds across the floor and risk an even bigger mess," she said. "I took the path of least resistance and figured a blanket could be easily washed."

Her last resort would've been to use her jacket. Anything to save her from the headache of cleaning the carpet.

As of Wednesday, the TikTok clip had over 8.4 million views, 140,400 likes and 460 comments. Unfortunately, dog owners know that pre-throw-up sound all too well.

"You can be dead asleep and that sound will wake you up so fast!!" commented one viewer.

Another added: "His puke sounds activated your super powers."

One pet parent has gone above and beyond to save the floors: "I've caught puke with a book, coaster, wrapping paper, and my hands. The desperation is real."
