The owner explained that Lilo, who is playful and affectionate, has a habit of "showing off" when she has something in her mouth. This time, it was a beautiful bouquet of flowers

"We, of course, always give her compliments which makes her so happy. People love to see Lilo wiggle her tail so hard, which is adorable," Zhenwei said. "I hope Lilo will spread more happiness to people and put smiles on people's faces from her videos!"

People shared their reactions to the adorable footage in comments on Instagram.

"This is just the cutest thing I've ever seen," said auntielive_thepetconcierge.

Commenter @nilanjanatransformationcoach dubbed it the "Best welcome ever," and lmn191919 said: "The happy prance is so sweet."

"Okay. This is so sweet!!" bruceontheloose.tn wrote, while thesofiawithanf added: "It's the prance for me."

Lilo seemed to be very excited to see her "grandmother" at the airport, and may have recognized her too. Research published in 2020 by the Society for Neuroscience found that dogs are capable of recognizing human faces, although this information isn't their first priority.

Instead, dogs are more likely to recognize their owners and friends through smell, so it is likely that it wasn't until she was closer that Lilo gave her owner's mom a full greeting.

Zhenwei often shares videos on Instagram of what Lilo has been up to, like playing with her favorite toys, going on hikes or riding the subway in New York City.
