Woman Works Out How Rescue Dog Was Getting Over Gate—and Getting Wall Dirty

An owner who attempted to keep her dog downstairs by installing a gate has learned the hard way that there's no match for a dog's determination.

Like children, dogs do not like taking no for an answer. They'll sneak into a bag of treats or sit on the couch when no one is home, thinking they'll get away with it. One dog named Bowser was going to find a way up the stairs one way or another. despite the gate blocking his way.

In a TikTok clip posted to the account @trainwreck00 on July 22, dog owner Wendy stood with Bowser at the top of the stairs. She wondered how on earth he could get upstairs when a gate was in his way and then asked him to demonstrate. Tail wagging with excitement, Bowser was thrilled to answer her question and show off his trick.

With a big hop at the bottom of the stairs and assistance from the wall, he contorted his body around the gate in the blink of an eye. He somehow knew aiming his jump toward the wall above the gate and placing his paws on the wall would help him angle himself for landing, which he did perfectly.

Not only did this solve the puzzle of how he got up there, now she knows how the wall has become so dirty. Although, she had an idea of how it had happened in the first place.

At the end of the video, you can hear Wendy scream "I knew it" when Bowser jumped back over the gate. The paw prints on the wall should have been a giveaway, but as the law states, innocent until proven guilty. And now Bowser had given the game away.

'Pittie Parkour'

Impressed viewers couldn't get enough of Bowser's trick to get up the stairs. The TikTok clip brought in over 930,200 views, 198,300 likes and 275 comments as of Thursday.

"He's agile for his size, lol," commented a TikToker, while a second wrote: "It's pittie parkour!" Or as others called it "barkour."

"If the dirt on the walls didn't give it away idk what else would've," commented one user.

Another joked: "The gates more of a suggestion."
