Watch City Dog's Hilarious Reaction To Great Outdoors: 'No Thank You'
A city-dwelling golden retriever got treated to a taste of the great outdoors by his owners.
However, footage shared to social media by his humans suggests their street-wise dog is not entirely sold on the idea of country life.
While pets may be more likely found among those living in rural areas, a significant number of city dwellers keep a four-legged friend for company.

A 2023 Pew Research Center survey found that while 71 percent of Americans living in rural areas own a pet, a not-inconsiderable 51 percent of people residing in urban areas also do.
Lucifer's owner is a city-dweller herself, but she resides in Copenhagen, Denmark, with her husband and the dog she affectionately refers to as "Luci."
"I've always wanted a golden retriever, since I saw the movie 'Air Bud,'" she told Newsweek. "My husband and I knew that we had to move into a new apartment last year, so we decided to get Lucifer three months before moving."
Lucifer was already something of a well-traveled jet-setter by the time he arrived in his new urban home. "I'd been looking for the perfect dog in Denmark, but couldn't find the right one until I found his parents from Italy," his owner said.

"That's how it all began. I started talking with the breeder almost a year before getting him. In April last year we flew to Italy, rented a car, picked him up, drove back to the airport and flew back with him to Copenhagen."
Lucifer certainly boasts a distinctive name though, like the decision to get a golden retriever after watching "Air Bud," it's a moniker inspired by something from the world of U.S. TV and entertainment.
"We'd been talking a lot about dog names," Luci's owner said. "Then one day we saw the Netflix series Lucifer and we were like that's what we will call our dog."
Despite his unique back story and imaginative name, in many ways Lucifer is like most dogs of his breed. "He likes to eat," Luci's owner said. "He loves balls, especially tennis balls. He also likes to fight with his dad on the floor."
However, in other ways, he's quite unique. His city upbringing, for instance, has shaped some of his personality. "He's an apartment dog in Copenhagen," Lucifer's owner said. "He's also afraid of the water and always walks around the puddles for some reason."
Little wonder then that Lucifer reacted in hilarious fashion during a recent trip out to the countryside. "We visited my hubby's parents for the day," his owner said. "He likes to go to the countryside, because it means he can get to run freely in the gardens."
But while Luci is happy to explore the garden, he was somewhat less fussed during a foray into a field of corn. While some dogs might have been eager to explore, Lucifer was over it almost immediately, opting to cease his exploration efforts and return to the path, seemingly keen to get back to the urban normality of his life.
Posted to TikTok under the handle imthegoldendevil, the on-screen caption described the clip as "when the city boy meets the countryside." Watch it here.
Lucifer's owner described her dog's reaction to the field in hilarious fashion among the captions and comments accompanying the clip.
To her it was as if Luci was saying "no, take me back to the city right now" on the clip.
"He's like... no thank you," she added in the comments.
Now back safe and sound in Copenhagen, Lucifier's owner is hesitant to say her dog dislikes the countryside, though she definitely knows what he does like. "He's happy anywhere we are," she concluded.
