Dog Ensures Pet Cam Captures Best Angle While 'Destroying' Mom's House

A cocker spaniel named Luna has left the internet in stitches after getting caught "destroying" her owner's home, with high resolution proof of her misconduct.

The hilarious clip shared to TikTok late last month by user @nadiacolossale0 shows the pup making a mess at home while her mom is out, chewing off the edges off the wall, her stuffed toy and pillow, all while looking directly into the movement-sensitive camera as if it was all planned.

The video's text overlay reads: "POV: you're destroying the house but mom is spying on you." And the caption shared along with the clip reads: "Just making sure mom gets the best angles through the camera."

Newsweek has reached out to @nadiacolossale0 for comment via TikTok comments. We could not verify the details of the case.

Most dogs get caught destroying their owner's belongings every now and then, and while it's a destructive behavior that bothers humans, dogs think it's totally normal to carry on that way.

In an article, VeterinaryExPert explains on its website that ripping off pillows and chewing their stuff toys is normal behavior for pups who are growing up because that's how they get to explore the world around them, through their mouth.

However, there can also be other reasons behind your dog's misconduct. They could be growing teeth, feeling bored or lonely, or may just be looking for attention—that's why owners should carefully observe their dog's actions and ask a veterinarian's help if needed.

While shouting at your dog and using physical reprimands will only make the situation worse, and your dog fearful of you, there is another way you can put an end to their erratic behaviors.

The only way to train your dog effectively is through the use of positive reinforcement, by ignoring your dog when they misbehave, taking all the attention away from them, and reward their good behavior with a pat or a treat to create a positive connection.

TikTok Users React

The video quickly went viral on TikTok and has so far received over 2.2 million views and 204,500 likes on the platform.

One user, Melisa, commented: "He's like can I help, you left me so now you can watch me destroy."

TheMiniFarm_ posted: "My dog doesn't even stop when I tell her no on the camera. I'm lost for what to do can't crate her the whole time im at work that just isn't fair so what can I do. She's destroyed so much."

Sam added: "Love how the beginning she sees the camera moves, pauses and then continues on doing it."
