Laughter as Woman Gets Golden Retriever Looking Extra Handsome for 'School'

A pet owner's video showing her grooming her golden retriever to get him "ready for school" has gained viral attention on TikTok.

Cupid the dog stole hearts after his owner shared the "back-to-school" pampering session on her TikTok @evelynevelynm.

With more than 5 million views, the video captured Cupid patiently sitting while his owner meticulously combed the top of his head, creating a sleek side parting.

In the comments, people rushed to share their reactions. CleoZoe63 joked: "He's gonna get all the girls," while viewer Jen playfully dubbed it a "dapper side part."

A dog daycare worker chimed in: "If a dog came in with a cute combover like that, I would simply die! This is adorable."

While Dori couldn't contain her excitement after seeing the adorable footage: "OMG STOP it right now with that cuteness overload!!!!!!!"

Others praised Cupid as a "handsome distinguished gentleman" and cheered him on as the "goodest boy."

"This is too cute," said ObraPrinitiva. Viewer fellow dog owner Stephanie was inspired and said: "Me looking at my dogs head to see if his fur is long enough to part."

Although not all dogs will get the same custom hairstyle treatment that Cupid received, it's important they have a good grooming routine.

Even short-haired dog breeds should have a weekly brush with a bristle brush or grooming glove, while longer-haired breeds should be brushed two or three times a week to keep them looking and feeling their best.

Double-coated breeds and curly or wavy coats require more maintenance with frequent brushing and regular grooming appointments with a professional.

Certain dog breeds require much more grooming, like the long-haired Afghan hound and the bearded collie, which need daily brushing to remove tangles and knots.

The Bedlington terrier, with a soft curly coat, needs to be clipped every two months and brushed once or twice a week. The bichon frise needs even more attention, with brushing at least two or three times a week and clipping and bathing monthly.

This wasn't the only time that Cupid was styled as though he was going to school, either. In another video posted on @evelynevelynm's TikTok account, the pup was dressed up for "pigtail day" at school, with his ears neatly put into two pink scrunchies, and, of course, the well-combed parting.

"Show us a hairstyle everyday," asked tablesbestfriend2231. "I love it."
