A dog's heartwarming way of greeting her grandma after a long time apart has delighted viewers online.

The miniature dachshund's ecstatic reunion with her grandma was captured by her owner, known online as @_katieandpip, and shared to TikTok on April 19 where it has since been viewed more than 3.5 million times.

The emotional meeting, which has brought joy to viewers across the world, occurred at King's Cross station in London, England, where the sausage dog's enthusiasm was on full display for passing travelers.

"Bum shakes, followed by uncontrollable excited wee wee's, followed by screams, followed by cuddles," the dog's owner shared in the post.

Dachshunds, often referred to as wiener dogs, are known for their loving and devoted nature which has made them a popular pet breed in the U.S. Originally bred in Germany for hunting badgers and rabbits, these small but spirited dogs have since become beloved family pets. Their loyalty and affectionate disposition make them excellent companions, always eager to share moments of love and connection with their human families.
