'Obsessed' Dalmatian Demands Mom Put on Favorite TV Show for the 17th Time

A dog "obsessed" with watching TV has become a social media sensation after he was caught on camera demanding his favorite show.

Lando, a Dalmatian, lives in Leeds, United Kingdom, with his owners Amy and Tom, and may in fact be the boss of the house.

Amy, 35, described her 18-month-old adored pet to Newsweek as a "cheeky chappy who loves life," and hordes of TikTok users got to see this cheekiness on full display in a viral video shared to Amy's account @amymcharles.

In the clip, shared on May 26 and which boasts over 560,000 views, Lando stares at Amy who is on the sofa, giving her the ultimate puppy eyes.

Amy already knows what Lando wants and as he whimpers and stares at her, she assures him: "It's coming, babe. I just need a minute."

Lando's whining gets louder and more insistent, while his tail wags hopefully—until Amy turns on his favorite TV show, Amazon Prime's Clarkson's Farm.

At which point, Lando climbs upon the sofa, stares at the screen, and barks—before setting in to watch the British reality series around former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson running his rural farm.

The TikTok video's text overlay reads: "Asked him if he wants 'His farm' on so now we're watching Clarkson's Farm again for the 17th time."

Amy, meanwhile, asked in the video's caption: "Anyone else got a dog OBSESSED with a TV show?"

Dogs' eyesight is different to that of humans as they only have two types of color-processing cells and can only see blues, greens, and yellows, according to Veterinarian Sandra C Mitchell in article for PetMD.

In the article, she states that dogs who enjoy TV generally prefer real animals in motion to cartoons. Lando's favorite show prominently features farm animals.

Amy, 35, told Newsweek via TikTokthat Lando "adores meeting people and any animals," and when not settled on the sofa watching TV, "lives for going to the beach and enjoys his walks every day in the fields and woods."

It's not just Clarkson's Farm, either, as she added his favorite movie is, naturally, 101 Dalmatians.

As well as "Clarkson's Farm," Lando is partial to watching "101 Dalmatians." When not watching TV, his owner Amy said he loves the beach and the outdoors. TikTok Users React

TikTok users fell head-over-heels for the TV-watching dog, with one user recalling they once had a dog that loved the show Countryfile. "She would hear the theme tune and come running through."

Another user wrote: "I had a collie cross that used to love You've Been Framed. He used to fly through the house when the thee tune started."

Other TikTok users shared their pups' favorite TV shows, from sitcom Friends to documentary series Meerkat Manor, and as one put it: "My mum's dog, Storm, lives to watch documentaries about dolphins but only dolphins, you can't fool her with a shark."

Amy told Newsweek the huge response to her video has been great to see.

"I think it's brilliant other people can see and enjoy our boy," she said. "If he brings joy to others that's what matters."
